OSID Models
Summary
Looking at the OSID Models provides a way for getting the lay of the land. It is these models combined with the interoperability patterns of the OSIDs that determine the interface contracts.
Where to Find Them
The OSID Models can be viewed on osid.org/specifications. In every OSID Package there is a "models" link that will bring you to the diagrams. The top level OSID packages will have two diagrams. The first (and simpler) one shows the logical model one might expect to see in that service domain. The second one is the actual OSID model used to create the contracts. The OSID models are typically more complex and are bent to conform to interoperability requirements. The logical model is the conversation piece.
Notation
OSIDs models use a modified ER notation.
In addition to the notation, color and icons correspond the entity classification in the OSID Abstract Framework.
